We have a La Tasca here in Reading (England). Every time I go I have a great time. Good food and fabulous atmosphere.

Thanks for the comment! I think you’re our first oversea’s visitor that’s dropped us a note. Delighted to have you! We’re planning for some nutty reviews in England this year to keep an eye here.

Awesome times…Here’s a tidbit you didn’t know about La Tasca: That night, the waiter took a WHILE to bring out the food. We all figured it was because there were so many people partying. Well, as it turns out there was a technical issue in the kitchen that delayed the food. SO… our awesome waiter brought us a free round of shots, and 3 or 4 free bottles of champagne! THEN…two weeks later we got (in the mail) a thank you and and an apology from the manager explaining the issues during New Years. Included in the card was a $25 gift check for La Tasca good for a year. WOW… Now that’s customer service if I ever saw it. Big thumbs up to La Tasca!

From my experience both in Spain and Spanish taverns outside I must say that night party at Spain cannot be compared to the one you can enjoy at these places. They are fun too, but lack the real spirit :)

So, get a flight and make a review on Spanish party. I asure you won’t be disappointed.

We can dream can’t? We can dream! :)

I wouldn’t bet against ya, that’s for sure. Cordoba, Seville, Madrid, Barcelona, sigh. So many places to party, so little time.

    Thanks for the comments.

I live in Spain. It’s a constant party…go out for tapas at least 3 times a week. No stress. Customer service isn’t that great though! I’m in Galicia…no bulls or flamenco. Sorry.

  8. The B.A.R. Editor Says:

Well, if Spain is like Italy, where stuff just closes at noon to 2pm or sometimes randomly at odd hours for no reason, it should be too much of a shock. It’s like they force ya to “relax”. :)

Tappas every day, wine at noon, I definitely think we’ll be visiting.

I just spent two weeks in the Canary Islands and one of the two restaurants at the hotel was called La Tasca. Nice food. Great waiters!

  11. Pamela Heywood Says:

I’ve spent the last 13 years in the Canary Islands and you’re right, most stuff closes from 1 pm, so you are “forced” to go eat and drink at a leisurly pace. Not that I ever heard anyone complain! It would be hard to re-create or experience that aspect of the culture outside of the country.

It looks like the guy in the far right picture has his thumb in the blonde’s mouth.
